Ferries and Zoos

One of the iconic and ideal ways to get around Sydney is on the Ferry system which we rode our very first day. We got to our apartment around 10 am, showered, and headed straight out to the Taronga Zoo. On the way we passed the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

The zoo was great fun. Most of the animals were out. We saw some of the famous Australian critters including Koalas, a platypus, kangaroos and wallabys. Look at the view the giraffes have. Is that the Opera House in the background? Lucky animals. Everyone was a trooper on that first day. We made it all the way to 6:30 before we conked out in our apartment.
