Our last day in Sydney we went to the beautiful Manly Beach which meant another ferry ride. We were not sad about that. We spent a lovely morning swimming, playing in the sand, trying not to step on blue bottle jellyfish on the beach, eating fish and chips and a kangaroo burger (which was delish - even the kids really liked it).
Andrew has gone native. He has the appropriate hat, a koala he carries with him everywhere, and he even told us he wishes he was Australian. (He would make Sophie proud).
We were definitely sad to leave Sydney. For a big city it has an easiness and a friendliness to it that we have never experienced. We have one more day in Sydney at the end of our trip. It should be a sad farewell.
